Fortnite’s first teaser for Chapter 4 Season 4 hints at a dark theme.

A mysterious teaser for Season 4

With Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 just around the corner, players have received a cryptic mailer from Epic Games, providing them with a first glimpse of what’s to come. The teaser seems to revolve around a moon, and the lack of information about Season 4 has sparked various theories among the Fortnite community.

A blood moon and a mysterious note

One Fortnite player and content creator, Sharshock, shared an image of the special package they received from Epic Games, which included a “Bloodmoon poster” and a note containing the name “Kouji Datura.” It’s worth noting that a datura is a type of plant commonly known as a “moonflower,” linking it to the blood moon concept depicted in the poster.

Although the teaser remains enigmatic, previous leaks and datamining efforts may shed some light on what Chapter 4 Season 4 has in store. Known Fortnite leaker FortTory previously mentioned that Epic Games was working on a “Vampire Boss,” which aligns with the blood moon theme suggested by Sharshock’s teaser. Additionally, the moon shown in the teaser appears to be in the midst of an eclipse, potentially playing a significant role in the upcoming season’s transition.

Official teasers and release date

The first official, public teaser for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is expected to be shared on August 21st. Historically, Epic Games has released teasers over several days leading up to the start of a new season, indicating that downtime for Chapter 4 Season 4 will likely commence on August 25th.
