Personally, I believe that Fortnite truly hit its stride with Chapter 3 Season 2, thanks to a game-changing addition: Zero Build. This mode removed the building mechanics that had become synonymous with Fortnite and transformed it into a more traditional battle royale shooter.

With the impending return of Chapter 1, there were concerns that Zero Build would be left behind. After all, this mode didn’t exist until much later in the game’s lifespan. It’s undeniable that many players still enjoy the classic Fortnite style. At the moment, the classic battle royale mode has twice as many players as Zero Build. However, despite the throwback to Chapter 1, I’m relieved that Epic Games seems determined to keep Zero Build alive. There’s nothing worse than trying to eliminate an opponent, only to have them construct a towering fortress in response.

Of course, we must take the return of the Chapter 1 map with a grain of salt since it’s still just a rumor. However, considering the reliable sources and Epic Games’ teasing, it’s highly likely that it will come to fruition. The truth will be revealed on Friday, November 3, when the new season begins.
