The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an amazing game that is particularly gifted at keeping you entertained. I recently crossed the 90-hour mark and my in-game completion tracker still shows less than 50% completion. Sometimes, however, you may find yourself in a situation where you don’t know where to go. When this happens, I suggest talking to Patricia.

Patricia is not a human character in Tears of the Kingdom. She is a sand seal, and Riju’s personal sand seal. After clearing the main quest in Gerudo, you will find her in the southern corner of Gerudo Town. Patricia loves to eat and will share snippets of ambiguous wisdom, translated by her master Padda, when you give food to her. However, her favorite food is Splash Fruit. If you give her Splash Fruit, her guardian will let you know that she has uttered a series of strange numbers. These numbers are, of course, coordinates, which you can find on the map or at the bottom of the mini-map as you explore.

  • In the example I took screenshots for this guide, it sent me to a person in the middle of nowhere who had a side quest for me.
  • I’ve done it a few times with Patricia, and she’s always pointed me towards something I hadn’t discovered yet.

Running out of things to do in Tears of the Kingdom is something that many players (myself included) won’t encounter before many hours, but it’s good to know that there’s a built-in database of distractions in the game when you run out of activities.
