Pikachu and Jax Jones take over the music scene
Pikachu, the iconic Pokémon, is making waves in the music industry once again as it stars in the latest music video for Jax Jones’ new single Never Be Lonely. The single features German singer-songwriter Zoe Wees and was released today alongside an electrifying music video.
An out-of-this-world collaboration
The music video, a collaboration between Jax Jones and The Pokémon Company International, takes viewers on an intergalactic journey. It sees Pikachu being abducted onto a UFO-turned-stadium where Jones and Wees are performing, creating a visual spectacle that is sure to captivate audiences.
Pikachu seems rather unfazed by the abduction as it warmly greets the two and joins in on the performance, eventually illuminating the entire stadium with its electrifying dance moves. The video also features a sneak appearance by Ceruledge, adding an extra layer of excitement for Pokémon fans.

In a press release, Jones describes the song as a “sonic journey into the heart of music and friendship”, emphasizing the emotional and relatable lyrics of the single. As a Pokémon fan, he expressed his gratitude at the opportunity to collaborate with such an iconic character, calling it “a privilege”.
This isn’t the first time Jax Jones has worked with The Pokémon Company. In 2021, as part of Pokémon’s 25th-anniversary celebration album, he contributed the track Phases featuring Sinéad Harnett. The collaboration between Jones and Pikachu follows in the footsteps of the successful Pokémon collaboration song Celestial with Ed Sheeran, which was featured in the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games.
