Space combat in Starfield becomes increasingly challenging as you progress through the main story. To conquer the Frontier, it’s crucial to invest in your ship. Instead of simply upgrading your current ship, we recommend earning ships for free. One stellar ship you can acquire in Starfield is the Razorleaf. However, obtaining it requires completing a side mission known as Mantis. Despite its higher difficulty level, the rewards it offers are well worth the effort. The Razorleaf not only boasts exceptional speed and powerful weapons, but it is also valued at over 120,000 credits. Additionally, it features a shielded cargo hold, ideal for smuggling contraband. Alongside the ship, you’ll receive other fantastic rewards.
The Mantis Quest
To embark on the Mantis quest, you must first locate and read a data slate called “Secret Outpost!”. Spacers drop this item randomly, often early in the Starfield game. It’s possible that you already possess it! Thank you, Spacer! In case you haven’t obtained it yet, we’ve identified several instances where this data slate has been found. While it’s relatively easy to upgrade the Razorleaf, even in its base form, the ship is capable of devastating enemies. Furthermore, there’s a chance you might encounter a special event in space involving the Razorleaf (no spoilers here!). We recommend replacing the reactor and adding additional lasers to your Razorleaf to enhance its performance. Even without these upgrades, you’ll still have a swift and formidable ship that will serve you well.
