New GTA 6 Leak Reveals Map Details

A new Grand Theft Auto VI leak claims that the upcoming game could feature up to three islands in addition to the main map of the State of Leonida. According to GTA 6 Countdown on X (formerly Twitter), two of these islands are said to be inspired by Cuba and the Bahamas. As per the leak, the “potential” third island is still unknown.

This new leak falls in line with an earlier GTA 6 leak, which also revealed a lot more about the map of the upcoming game. Let’s take a detailed look at the previous leak.

Grand Theft Auto VI Map Details

According to the earlier leak, the fictional state in GTA 6 will be called Leonida. The map is said to be 30 to 50 per cent larger than GTA 5’s, will be more detailed and accurate, and will be expanded over time. It will feature three islands, one inspired by the Bahamas.

The map will include Miami, its surroundings, and a few remote locations, with a parody of Fort Myers and a city inspired by Fort Knox. Players will be able to explore a bike trail around Lake Leonida and enter 60 per cent of the buildings, totalling at least 2,000. It is said that the AI-enabled NPCs can call the police if you trespass.

Additionally, hotels and motels can be rented. The cover system is more realistic, and there will be no chainsaw weapon. Miami is said to be perfectly replicated, showcasing high-quality graphics.

Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 will be released in fall 2025. The game will first arrive for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, it will eventually come out with a PC version, just like its predecessor. There is high anticipation for this game due to the success of GTA 5 and the quality of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2. The game will feature the first female protagonist of the series and offer two playable characters– Jason and Lucia.
