Problème de crash avec Genshin Impact sur PlayTools – résolu par PlayCover

BUGS IN GAMES ON MAC M1: All you need to know

I have encountered repeated crashing issues while playing Genshin Impact on Playcover using the key-mapping feature through Playtools. After updating my M1 Mac to Sonoma 14.1.1, both Genshin and other games that I tested crashed when I attempted to open them. Despite testing several versions of PlayCover and Genshin IPAs, the issue persists, which leads me to believe it’s a PlayTools-related problem. Here’s a detailed account of the bug I encountered and steps to reproduce it.

Description of the Bug
After updating my M1 Mac to Sonoma 14.1.1, games such as Genshin Impact crashed when attempting to open them through Playtools. I went through multiple versions of PlayCover and Genshin IPAs, but the issue persisted. When I installed Genshin without PlayTools, the game ran without any issues. However, using key-mapping features is almost impossible without PlayTools, making it essential to rectify this problem.

Steps to Reproduce
Unfortunately, I’m not entirely sure if the bug is related to my working environment, considering I use XCode a lot. However, this is what I did, and the issues persisted:
1. Installed PlayCover 3.0.1 on MacOS M1 Sonoma 14.1.1.
2. Installed the Genshin Impact IPA file.
3. Installed the IPA file on PlayCover with PlayTools.
4. Attempted to open Genshin Impact, leading to an immediate crash.

Expected Behaviour
After the initial verification message, the game should start normally. However, this was not the case, and the crash log substantiates this problem.

Crash Log
Although the full crash log does not fit here, it’s evident that the crash is related to the use of PlayTools, with numerous threads involved in the crash. The exceptions include EXC_CRASH, terminating the process, and various related thread crashes.
