Genshin Impact reveals new character cards for its Genius Invokation TCG mode
Genshin Impact’s Genius Invokation TCG mode is expanding once again with the upcoming version 4.0 update. This turn-based mode, introduced in version 3.3, allows players to build powerful decks using character cards based on the game’s beloved characters. In the latest update, new cards featuring Lisa, Albedo, and Qiqi will be added to the game, each reflecting their unique skill sets.
Mastering the Genius Invokation TCG mode
Learning how to play the Genius Invokation TCG mode is easy, but becoming a master requires time and strategic thinking. In this mode, players must build versatile decks consisting of 30 action and three character cards. The goal is to eliminate all three of their opponent’s character cards. Character cards are based on the skills of Genshin Impact counterparts, allowing players to change the course of the duel.
Earning rewards in Genius Invokation TCG
Winning matches in the Genius Invokation TCG mode will reward players with Primogems, a valuable in-game currency. Additionally, players can practice and learn the basics of the game by playing against NPCs.
Introducing the new character cards
In the upcoming version 4.0 update, three new character cards will be added to the game. Lisa’s card reflects her powerful skill set, with normal attacks dealing electro damage and attaching the Conductive status to the opponent’s active character. Her elemental burst summons Lightning Rose, dealing additional electro damage.
Albedo’s card is based on the Geo element. His elemental talent allows players to reduce the cost of Plunging Attacks, and his elemental burst deals devastating Geo damage.
Qiqi’s character card is centered around her Cryo abilities. Her elemental burst deals damage and creates a Fortune-Preserving Talisman, which heals Qiqi if she is not at full HP. Her elemental skill summons the Herald of Forest, healing the character that took the most damage.
Other additions in version 4.0
Alongside the new character cards, version 4.0 will introduce two equipment and event cards. The King’s Squire weapon will deal additional damage when equipped, providing players with an edge in battles. The Golden House support card allows players to spend fewer Elemental Dice per round, but they must play a weapon or artifact card with a minimum original cost of three.
Release date and availability
The highly anticipated version 4.0 update for Genshin Impact will be released on August 16. The game is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version currently in development.
